Psytech International (a leading test publisher) has developed an innovative psychometric assessment tool to measure the abilities and vocational interests of young people and adults. GenEd is currently used by the following Connexions/LSC providers:

• Nottinghamshire LSC
• Somerset LSC
• Lancashire LSC
• Connexions Cheshire & Warrington
• Connexions Merseyside

GeneSys Educational (GenEd) has been designed using Psytech International’s widely used GeneSys system, as endorsed by Sue Littlefair, Development Manager - Workforce Services at Learning+Skills Council, Lancashire which currently holds a database of some 25,000 assessment results.

The latest development of GenEd has been the introduction of West Nottinghamshire College’s basic & keySKILLBUILDER (bksb), the preferred initial assessment tool, used in over 50% of colleges and in more than 700 organisations nationally. It offers a coherent and quality approach to assessment, learning plans and development, for both basic and key skills, which can be used by everyone, whatever their current level of literacy or numeracy.
